English Teacher - Swindon
Protocol Education are working with secondary schools in Swindon to complete their staffing teams for this academic year. We are looking for passionate, committed, and enthusiastic English teachers and specialists to positively impact the lives and education of students across the area.
Start Date: ASAP
Closing Date: 30/9/24
Qualified Teachers paid to scale
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging English lessons to students
2. Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
3. Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
4. Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
5. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Degree in English or related field
3. Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for English
Experience:
1. Proven experience teaching English at secondary school level
2. Previous work with children and young people
3. Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate students
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent understanding of English concepts and principles - Grammar, Literature, and Language
2. Effective classroom management skills
3. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with English specialism
2. Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
