Job Purpose: Responsible for driving sales and achieving profit targets through a structured sales process for multiple products in the sector. This includes converting marketing and sales leads into qualified opportunities and generating quotes within the CRM system. Additionally, you will proactively create new opportunities by reaching out to past, current, and potential customers. By deeply understanding customer needs, you will influence, educate, and support contractors and subcontractors involved in bespoke projects, identifying solutions that fulfill these needs. Strong relationships across the supply chain are essential, enabling you to offer tailored solutions that align with our manufacturing capabilities. Effective internal communication with departments through tools such as Salesforce CRM is required to ensure leads and customer information are properly managed. Responsibilities of the role include: Support the Sector Manager in achieving sales and profit targets by meeting individual targets set by the Sector Sales Manager. Provide weekly updates on opportunities, projects, values, and material needs during Traction meetings, sharing this information with your Line Manager to help manage stock levels for optimal project delivery. Manage leads in the CRM system, qualify them, and deliver timely, accurate quotes with necessary documentation, such as technical drawings, to support customer decision-making. Ensure timely customer support, addressing and resolving any client issues, and assisting team members when needed. Build relationships with clients to convert leads into orders, prioritising face-to-face visits but utilising video calls or phone calls as needed, with email follow-ups to confirm discussions. Maintain up-to-date information on all project leads and opportunities in the CRM system, ensuring follow-up dates and estimated close dates are accurate. Provide guidance and support to contractors and sub-contractors installing products. Collaborate with design agencies to specify Dura products by providing timely and accurate information, coordinating with CAD, Marketing, and other team members. Ensure that all orders include accurate specifications and details to allow CAD and Operations to process them correctly the first time. Assist in gathering project marketing materials, such as before-and-after photos, from site visits or clients, and share them with marketing. Utilise Order Management Team resources efficiently, providing clear instructions for processing work accurately. Provide support to the team during holidays, training, sickness, or business travel. Stay open to new products and project opportunities, presenting ideas to your Line Manager or Directors for review. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all company products, market conditions, and competitor activities. Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies: Possesses a clear understanding of the company and departmental vision. A minimum of 5 years' experience in the Rail Industry sector. Relevant technical product sales knowledge and experience are advantageous. Strong communication skills with a high level of professionalism. Willingness to travel occasionally to meet business and customer needs, including early mornings or late evenings when required. Experience using CRM systems. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent judgment, organisational skills, and decision-making abilities. Strong active listening skills and interpersonal communication. Basic Salary: £43,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) NPGSBS: Potential to earn 20% of Basic salary, following one year’s service as part of the companywide Net Profit Gain Share Bonus System (NPGSBS) OTE: £51,600 - £66,000 per annum (depending on experience) Car Allowance: Opt Out Allowance: £5,981 - £6,729 (Electric or Plug in Hybrid) or £4,785 - £5,383 per annum (Petrol/Diesel). Or Company Car: The company provides you with a company car at £281 - £313 per month (Electric or Plug in Hybrid) or £200 - £225 per month (Petrol/Diesel).
