Location: Estate Services, The Malthouse, Tidmarsh Lane, Oxford, OX1 1NQ
Salary: £48,235 – £57,255 with a discretionary range to £62,407 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term (3 years, with potential to extend)

About the Role
As a Fire Project Surveyor at the University of Oxford, you will play a vital role in managing fire safety projects across a diverse and historic estate. You will oversee the installation, maintenance, and compliance of both active and passive fire systems, ensuring safety standards are met and regulations followed. Working closely with contractors and university departments, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. This is an opportunity to contribute to the safety of the university’s community, ensuring that building users are protected while enhancing the estate's resilience.
About You
We are looking for someone who can bring:
1. Chartered membership of a relevant body (e.g. RICS, CIOB, IFE) or equivalent professional experience
2. Strong working knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and best practice
3. Project management experience in building maintenance, refurbishment, or compliance works
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders
5. Organisational skills and IT systems knowledge to monitor and track progress effectively.
