Position: Assistant Store Manager
Type: Permanent - 37 hours
Salary: £13.57 per hour (circa £26,000 pa)
Job Overview
As an assistant store manager in our retail stores, you will support the store manager in leading and managing an engaged team of colleagues. You will coach, develop, and inspire the store team to deliver extraordinary customer service and realize their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the store manager in driving standards and building capability.
2. Lead by example and exhibit the Lakeland essence, values, and behaviours.
3. Deliver best-in-class customer service.
4. Deputize for the store manager in their absence.
5. Manage, organize, and motivate colleagues on a day-to-day basis.
6. Encourage and coach colleagues to achieve their potential.
7. Conduct recruitment and performance reviews.
8. Manage workflow schedules.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in an assistant manager's role or similar.
2. Strong selling and customer service skills.
3. Great communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Understanding of KPIs and ability to drive performance.
5. Existing knowledge of Lakeland and our products.
6. Positive attitude towards change and development.
7. Intermediate IT skills (e.g., Word and Excel).
