Job Purpose: The Catastrophe Analyst will work within the Exposure Management team to provide Cat Modelling and Exposure Management support to the renewable and non-renewable energy lines of business. Key Responsibilities: Engage in all aspects of Catastrophe and Exposure Management reporting as required. Maintain risk dashboards and précis reporting. Provide portfolio results and aggregations for inclusion in TMHCC Group exposures on a monthly basis. Compile and validate quarterly ELT’s for Capital Modelling use. Provide modelling output for pre bind business on both an onshore and offshore basis. Identify and propose solutions for optimizing current Exposure Management processes. Assist with ongoing projects and strive for improvement to current processes. Assist with helping to build and improve reporting processes to cater for growing portfolios, in particular for renewable energy. Skills and Experience Specification: Essential Strong knowledge of Aggregation and Modelling systems. Educated to degree level, preferably with CCRA or equivalent industry qualification. Strong work ethic, with the ability to learn and adapt to new challenges. Strong understanding of Reinsurance and Direct Insurance. Strong organisational and workload management skills. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail with strong written skills. Competent with coding programmes such as SQL/R/Python. Desired 2-3 years’ experience working in a similar or relevant role, with exposure to at least one of the major Catastrophe modelling systems such as Moody’s, Verisk or CoreLogic.
