We have offices in Gatwick and London, UK; Montpellier, France; Singapore and Chicago, US. In line with the Company’s current Agile Working Policy, the successful candidate would be eligible to work part of the week from our Crawley office and to work remotely for the rest of the week.
Position: Full time (35hr per week), permanent
Location: Crawley / Hybrid
Do you have a knack for creating compelling stories that can be delivered across multiple platforms to engage diverse audiences? Do you have the SEO skills to get your articles seen? Are you passionate about the food industry and curious about how supply chain issues, sustainability, consumer demand, regulation and food technology are transforming how we feed the world? Do you want to report on all the latest trends and innovations and travel to some of the world’s biggest food and beverage industry events?
If so, we’d love to have you join our dynamic newsroom and contribute to the editorial development of FoodNavigator.
What you'll be doing:
Key daily responsibilities:
* Researching and delivering compelling daily digital news content.
* Using SEO and analytics to optimise and track your stories’ performance.
* Following FoodNavigator’s editorial roadmap and style guides.
* Using social media for lead sourcing, content sharing and contact building.
* Curating a rolling suite of newsletters across the week.
Key mid- to long-term responsibilities:
* Hosting webinars and recruiting relevant speakers for panels.
* Establishing yourself as an industry authority for FoodNavigator and within relevant industry communities.
* Attending key industry trade events and conferences in Europe and occasionally beyond.
* Remaining open to any speaking/chairing/moderating opportunities of benefit to your remit that may arise.
* Collaborating with sales, marketing, event managers and other departments on any projects of potential benefit to the title.
What you'll need:
* A background in journalism. B2B experience is useful but not vital.
* A sound understanding of SEO and analytics.
* Solid knowledge of social media platforms.
* Confident presentation skills and experience moderating panels would be beneficial.
* To be imaginative and have a strong sense of initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* A background within the food industry is advantageous but not essential.
