The Role Of a Graduate Traffic Management Trainee
We are excited to welcome a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Contracts Technician to our team. As a trainee, you will have the opportunity to learn and work in all parts of our business, gaining valuable experience in traffic management operations.
Responsibilities Of a Graduate Traffic Management Trainee
* Traffic Management Exposure: You will receive comprehensive training in traffic management, including understanding roadworks, signage, and safety protocols.
* Project Support: Assist our experienced teams to plan, design and manage traffic management solutions for various projects across Scotland.
* Collaboration: Work closely with customers and local authorities to deliver road works to their expectations and deadlines.
* Learning Opportunities: Participate in workshops, site visits, achieving Lantra M7 qualification to develop your Traffic Management expertise.
* Safety Focus: Prioritise safety at all times, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
What Good Looks Like
* IT experience: Previous experience using CAD, Microsoft 365 and Teams is essential.
* Educational Background: While a full graduation is not mandatory, a relevant degree (e.g., Civil Engineering, Transportation, or related field) is preferred. Previous Traffic Management experience would be beneficial.
* Enthusiasm: A passion for learning and development and a desire to contribute to safer roads.
* Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to different aspects of our business.
* Strong Communication: Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
* Attention to Detail: Precise execution of traffic management plans.
* Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is essential.
