The team
Workplace Technology is a pivotal department within ITV, they provide us with all the tools to do our jobs efficiently and successfully. The department is forever innovating to ensure that ITV employees have the best systems and tools available. We are seeking a Delivery Manager to join this innovative team.
The role will require you to work closely and collaboratively with other Workplace Technology teams and the Head of Workplace Technology to promote technical solutions and deliver best practices, share learnings, provide expertise and support to deliver against the wider Workplace Technology strategy and roadmaps.
This role will support the Collaboration Team in successful delivery of departmental projects and operational objectives in the areas of process improvements, service delivery, company integration and product roadmap releases.
You will be well versed in agile ways of working and be comfortable with presenting complex and technical information simply, and in appropriate formats, to facilitate decision making. You will have the ability to self manage and plan activities to ensure deadlines are met and issues are highlighted early. You will build strong working relationships with team members and senior stakeholders, being proactive and having a self-motivated approach/positive attitude.
The Delivery Manager is responsible for day to day agile project management and delivery of the Collaboration Product roadmap and backlog, working closely with the Workplace Collaboration Service Manager and team.
Where required, you will be required to be flexible to support other projects or initiatives in line with strategic priorities across ITV Technology departments
Main responsibilities
1. Responsible for the end to end delivery and day to day management of the Collaboration team’s funded projects and delivery of the product roadmap using agile methodologies.
2. Accountability for project and departmental budgets to ensure these are controlled and managed efficiently
3. Responsible for capturing and documenting departmental and additional operational demand as requests arise, to ensure that the correct areas of focus and resource requirements are understood
4. Day to day priority setting for the Collaboration team, ensuring the team remain motivated, challenged and able to deliver by removing blockers where they arise.
5. Identify business benefits and user impacts through the delivery of the backlog
6. Provide timely and regular communication with stakeholders, highlighting key dependencies, risks and issues where appropriate and identifying appropriate mitigations
7. Responsible for the coordination and planning of work with the team to ensure efficient delivery
8. Run agile events including planning, retrospectives and daily standups.
9. Use data driven agile metrics such as velocity and burndown to track and improve upon team performance
10. Identify business benefits and user impacts through the delivery of the backlog
11. Engage with the wider ITV community to seek to continuously improve the user experience of Collaboration Services at ITV through measurement, user education and communications.
12. Ensure work is appropriately documented and service transitioned to operational teams.
13. Raise and manage purchase orders and ongoing spend
14. Work with Business Analysts to create well-formed business requirements for work products, ensuring they are fully understood before being developed.
15. Provide timely reporting of progress to Group Technology stakeholders, highlighting key dependencies, risks and issues where appropriate and identifying appropriate mitigations
16. Work with the team to review ways of working and identify areas and options for improvement
17. Grow relationships across the business and positively influence stakeholders to deliver intended outcomes
18. Raise and represent changes related to service improvement and projects
19. Manage and track the budgets for the roadmap projects
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
20. Experience of working in an Agile product management environment
21. User experience focused
22. Strong desire to improve and challenge the status quo to drive a culture of continuous improvement.
23. Understanding of Change Management and approval processes.
24. Experience of delivering multiple projects or deliverables concurrently, in different spaces or disciplines.
25. PRINCE2 and/or AgilePM advantageous but not mandatory
