About the Department: The Operations Planning team plays a crucial role in turning designs into reality, owning the planning, scheduling, and delivery from design demand to finished car parts. Our team of highly motivated, super-organised planners plays a crucial role in delivering performance to the car, often juggling multiple conflicting priorities at the same time.
Role Overview: As an Operations Analyst Industrial Placement, you’ll play a critical role in supporting operations and improving efficiency through data analysis and process optimisation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work at the pinnacle of Motorsport for one of the most iconic teams in Formula 1. You will gain hands-on experience of what it takes to operate at the highest level. As part of the Operations planning team, you will play an active role in delivering performance to our race cars. During your time, you will gain experience in every aspect of Formula One planning and manufacturing, an experience very few roles can offer.
Your Responsibilities:
* Analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business processes.
* Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance.
* Support daily operations by troubleshooting issues and providing solutions.
* Conduct research and data collection for operational projects.
* Prepare reports and presentations for management on findings and process improvements.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and operational standards.
* Communicate regularly with stakeholders to coordinate efforts and gather feedback.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
* Ability to interpret data and identify trends for process improvement.
* Strong skills in resolving operational issues quickly and effectively.
* Clear and concise communication with team members and stakeholders.
* Ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in analysis and reporting.
* Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau). Knowledge of Power BI would be beneficial but not essential.
* Strong background in engineering.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
* Ability to understand engineering drawings.
* Firm interest in Motorsport.
* Proactive & organised.
* Excellent communication skills.
