Reporting into the Head of Planning and Head of Pre Construction, you will be responsible for the effective Programme Management of a wide variety of Tenders focused on 4 main sectors – Residential, Student, Hotels, and Office Schemes throughout the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide Planning support for the Pre Construction Team.
2. Read and understand tender documents and employers' requirements for the tender.
3. Develop Tender programmes with reference to all stages such as pre construction, design, procurement, and construction.
4. Work with all members of the Pre Construction team including estimators and bid managers to develop full detailed submission.
5. Liaise with Senior Management throughout the tender process and present information for internal meetings on the project.
6. Participate and present all programme aspects during Mid and Post Tender Interviews.
7. Support 4D Digital aspects of the tender process.
8. Input to the Project Risk and Opportunities Register throughout the bid process.
9. Carry out "what-if" scenarios to identify risks that may develop during the tender process.
10. Keep records of any assumptions or constraints that have been made/assumed to develop the Tender Programmes.
11. Control and record programme revisions.
12. Review sub-contractor programmes with the Estimating Team; compare them to our Tender proposals and provide comparisons.
13. Engage with Subcontractors and suppliers for programme clarity.
14. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by Management.
Education / Experience:
1. Construction Qualification Preferred.
2. Good understanding of Construction techniques and methodologies.
3. Tender Planning Experience Preferred.
4. Proven ability to multitask between several live tenders.
5. Proficient in the use of Asta Power Project.
6. IT literate with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
7. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to interact with client teams.
8. Well organised with a methodical, energetic, proactive, and confident approach to work.
9. Ability to work to deadlines individually and as part of a team.
10. Occasional travel to sites.
11. Candidates should have the appropriate work permit or the right to work in the UK.
