Role Overview
The Static Engineering function within the Asset Management business sector provides consultancy services primarily in the power generation industry, including thermal, nuclear, and renewables, together with process, oil & gas, petrochemical, and the newly emerging fusion energy research sectors, largely in the field of integrity engineering.
Within this function, we have an opportunity for a Senior Static Integrity Engineer to join us in Renfrew, responsible for a portfolio of projects and providing technical advice and guidance to a team of engineers at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure a consistent high standard in the service provided to clients.
* Develop relationships with customers to optimize opportunities available and support the development of new business.
* Manage the commercial needs of the business and individual projects, developing and implementing industry-leading products and techniques.
Requirements
* A qualified Mechanical Engineer with a working knowledge of tools used to assess problems in the field of structural integrity.
* Experience in office and site work, ideally from a similar technical role within a relevant industry sector.
* Chartered status and ten or more years of relevant industry experience, although consideration will be given to exceptional candidates who do not meet both criteria.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of relevant industry standards such as API-579, BS7910, ASME B31.X, PD5500 etc.
