Job Title: Consultant Histopathologist Location: Chester Working Hours: Full-time or Part-time Salary: £99,532 - £131,964 per annum We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Histopathologist to join one of our clients in Chester. This client offers acute emergency and elective services, primary care direct access services, and obstetric services to around 250,000 residents in and around Chester. The hospital is renowned for its high clinical outcomes and standards, having received awards for eleven consecutive years. Typical Job Plan • Clinical Duties: Reporting on a wide range of histopathology specimens, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and providing expert advice to clinical colleagues. • Teaching and Training: Involvement in the training and supervision of junior medical staff and participation in departmental teaching sessions. • Research and Development: Encouragement to engage in research activities and contribute to the development of the department. • On-call Commitment: Participation in the on-call rota as required. Requirements: • Full registration and licence to practise with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register in Histopathology (or be eligible for registration within six months of interview). • Applicants that are UK trained must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. • FRCPath (part 1 and part 2).
