Job Description
Are you an electrical engineer with experience in factory, plant, or facilities maintenance? TXM is working with a rail business to recruit a Facilities Maintenance Team Leader who will be responsible for a full range of building services and manage the maintenance and repair of the company’s plant, buildings, and facilities.
Up to £40,000 + travel benefits & excellent pension
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Manage and deliver the maintenance strategy of the Company’s Plant, Buildings, and facilities at all required depots in accordance with best engineering practice, statutory legislation, and procedures.
2. Manage the Property, Assets & Facilities Department depot-based staff.
3. Manage all contractors that work on site in a safe and appropriate manner, ensuring they comply with RAMS and access permit conditions.
4. Ensure that all staff carry out their duties in a safe and coordinated manner, minimizing disruption to business activities.
5. Define and introduce measures and systems that increase productivity and the efficiency of maintenance activities.
6. Encourage good housekeeping and health and safety activities within the sites.
7. Comply with safe working instructions, depot, and individual protection measures issued as controlled documentation.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Level 3 Engineering qualification.
2. Previous experience in multi-site facility management and regulated safety-critical environments.
3. Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, IEE regulations, and statutory obligations.
4. Knowledge of legislation, procedures, and instructions relevant to the role.
5. Ability to adapt to location and working style changes.
6. Ability to lead and motivate a team.
