What skills and experience we're looking for
Our school nursery opened in July 2022. Being part of the Base 1 class gives children the chance to interact with a range of ages, which is beneficial to all and helps build confidence as well as providing opportunities for children to see and be inspired by the work of older children. Phonics and early reading are introduced gently and there is a seamless transition into Reception.
Under the guidance of our Early Years & Base 1 Teacher, you will ensure that children enjoy activities that stimulate and engage children’s interests and learning. Your role will help children establish the foundations for school life and instill a passion for knowledge.
Key duties
• Engage with children to develop sustained, shared thinking, and promote the characteristics of effective learning, as defined in the EYFS framework
• Prepare and maintain our learning environment
• Carry out routine tasks to support the work of the Teacher, HLTAs and ATAs
Qualifications
• Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification is essential
• Grade C/4 GCSE in Maths & English or equivalent
