Intensive Rehabilitation Service - Salisbury

We are looking for a qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to join ourIntensive Rehabilitation Service supporting Pathway 2 discharges in the Southof Wiltshire based in Salisbury area. This service is based within inpatientbed based rehabilitation setting to provide patients an opportunity for focusedrehabilitation after a hospital admission to enable patients to work towardstheir goals.
You will work with amultidisciplinary approach, alongside physiotherapists, assistantpractitioners, rehabilitation support workers, care staff and social workers toensure the patients are supported to work towards their goals, in aim ofreturning home or into another setting.
Main duties of the job
As a band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will support the Clinical Lead tolead the team including B5 therapists, Assistant Practitioners andRehabilitation support workers. You will be involved in supervision andappraisals along with supporting development of the team and serviceimprovement. There is the opportunity for careerdevelopment, pay progression (Agenda for Change) and NHS pension.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Dip COT/BSc/BSc(Hons)/MSc OT
2. Registered as an OT with the Health and Care Professionals Council
3. Relevant Post graduate qualification
4. Teaching and assessing in clinical practice
5. To possess a current, valid driving licence and to be a competent driver
6. Evidence of continuing professional development
7. Knowledge of legislation affecting professional practice
8. Experience of applying research based information to practice
Desirable
9. Non-medical prescriber
10. Leadership and Management training
11. Further qualifications relevant to community practice
12. Awareness of recent Government initiatives that may affect future clinical practice
