We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrative Officer to join our Children’s Social Care Team. We are looking for people who thrive in a busy working environment to support children, young people and families in the area.
About the role
This is a full time role, 37 hours per week, permanent contract.
The role is primarily based in Charlotte Street Bath, plus 1 day a week in Civic Centre Keynsham, and the opportunity to work from home. The postholder will working alongside the other Administrative Officer to support the team of practitioners and managers in the smooth running of our services:
* Family Group Conference (to empower families to deal with difficulties they are experiencing)
* New Way (for families experiencing domestic abuse)
* Stepping Stones (to help parents reduce the impact of their mental health on their children)
* Footprints (offering support to parents of children who no longer live in their care)
We seek applicants with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who have a friendly, patient and confident approach with colleagues, other professionals and members of the public, to join our supportive and professional team.
You will be able to evidence that you have excellent IT skills and have the ability to quickly learn new software and systems. We are looking for an organised individual who is an excellent typist who can take accurate minutes at complex meetings.
In addition to all these competencies, it is essential for you to be flexible in your approach to meet the requirements of a busy team. You will have an informed and professional manner when dealing with other professionals and young people, and process confidential and sensitive information in line with corporate and national guidelines.
