Job Description
My client is a premium manufacturer of quality power tools and welding equipment designed specifically for the engineering sector. They sell via dealers and directly to end users.
Customers include general engineering and metalworking, fabrication & welding, and assembly environments.
They are now looking for a technically minded Area Sales Manager who is centrally based in the UK to support and further develop their customers.
The role
* Working from home. This is a technical solutions sales role rather than box shifting or selling on price.
* Following up enquiries and leads with end users - understanding applications and recommending appropriate solutions.
* Covering central patch: Birmingham, Oxford, Cheltenham, S.Wales.
* Maintaining relationships with existing dealers/distributors and end users.
* Sales analysis.
* Working closely with Marketing to ensure the right products are promoted effectively.
* Identifying new distributors and end users.
* Selling a range of high-quality engineering and metalwork hand power tools including welding equipment.
Requirements
* Likely to be a mechanical engineer.
* Previous field sales experience is essential, including roles such as sales engineer, key account manager, or dealer manager.
* You will have solid knowledge of industrial power tools, welding equipment, abrasives, and cutting tools.

* Competitive salary around £42K + 30% bonus OTE £54K.
