Mechanical Package Manager - Cambridge & Beaulieu

Murphy is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Package Manager to join our fabulous team at Cambridge and Beaulieu, this is a site based role. The Mechanical Package Manager will assist with the construction of the Cambridge South Station and the Beaulieu Station project.
The project comprises the construction of a new four platform railway station and associated infrastructure to provide a connection to Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Cambridge Biomedical Campus with destinations such as central London, Stansted Airport, Ely and Birmingham
What you will be doing
1. Manage and oversee the Mechanical, Public Health and BMS packages from preconstruction through to final handover.
2. Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
3. Inform and exchange ffectively with clients, contractors and team members to ensure project success.
4. Managing the procurement and tender process
5. Reviewing and affirming contractor proposals
6. Ensures that the construction and installation teams are in control of their performance against agreed schedules and Person-hour budgets (Planned vs Actual measures).
7. Ensure that the project team works to progressively complete handover documentation so that we are “fit to finish”, complying with the contracted completion requirements of the Client, Network Rail, Greater Anglia and J Murphy and Sons.
8. Organising the team pre, during and post construction on site, stakeholder and risk management.
9. Lead on budget and change management.
Who are we looking for
10. Previous experience working in a similar Mechanical Package Manager role.
11. Experience working with Network Rail is essential.
12. Experience working on complex construction projects, especially station builds, particularly in the Rail Sector
13. NEC Contract knowledge
14. Installation and Public Health experience
15. Experience leading teams.
16. The Role would be site based at Beaulieu Park Station & Cambridge South Station must be happy to travel bewteen the two when required
