Operations Manager - Tour Operator and Cruises - London / Hybrid, £48-55k + Bonus. A fantastic opportunity to join a well established and highly reputable travel company that offers a wide array of land tours, cruises and excursions. This critical role in the business has involvement with all aspects of the customer journey from tour creation through to delivery and tour completion. The role is hybrid (3 days a week in the London offices) and will also involve occasional travel.
Operations Manager Responsibilities
Work with colleagues to expand the portfolio of tours, cruises and excursions involving discussions with new and existing agents / partners.
Checking website information, advert copy and brochures have the correct tour information.
Continually enhance existing itineraries based on customer customer feedback, implementing any changes where appropriate.
Liaise with land operational teams regarding the contracting of shore excursions, pre and post tour arrangements and transportation.
Involvement with costing tours and the management of these ongoing costs, working alongside the accounts department to check and authorise supplier payments.
Support the sales and customer service teams with any queries and post trip feedback.
Manage and deliver the Tour Diary including collaboration with the flights department on logistics and timings, creating pre-departure documentation for clients, liaising with shore excursion agents and field staff teams on the tours.
Occasionally visit ground suppliers, ships / cruise operators, hotels and general destinations to ensure high standards of tour delivery and to create information packs that can be presented to the sales and operations teams.
Managing any crisis or emergency situation that could arise including the rearrangement of alternative holidays where necessary.
Operations Manager Skills Required
Prior experience in the management of operations (tour delivery) within a tour operator environment.
Experience creating tours / excursions with a good understanding of costing and budget management.
Excellent supplier management skills
A strong negotiator and communicator.
Ability to multi-task and manage a constantly changing workload.

A basic salary in the region of £48,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience
