Technical Sales Engineer
Salary: Excellent basic + commission (OTE £55,000 - £60,000)
Hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Our precision engineering industry client is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer.
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll:
* Develop and grow sales across the UK and Eire through direct and distributor-led channels.
* Leverage your technical expertise to sell high-value products such as instrumentation, measuring systems, or capital equipment.
* Build long-term relationships with customers in industries like manufacturing, precision engineering, and metrology.
* Identify upselling opportunities to expand product usage within existing accounts.
* Deliver product demonstrations, provide technical advice, and pre-qualify sales opportunities.
* Meet and exceed annual sales targets while maintaining accurate CRM records.
* Provide regular market and sales performance updates to senior management.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
We’re looking for candidates who have:
* Experience selling products (not services) within manufacturing, precision engineering, electronics, or metrology sectors.
* A proven track record in technical sales, with success in hitting or exceeding sales targets.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical solutions clearly and persuasively.
* The ability to build strong, long-term customer relationships.
* Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
