From greeting our members and guests with a smile to supervising the team in the pools and swimming changing rooms, the position of Lifeguard Supervisor at Exeter Golf and Country Club is a varied one!
Committed to maintaining the highest levels of safety and attentiveness while at poolside, as a Lifeguard you need excellent attention to detail and the ability to work well within a team and alone.
Confident and assertive in dealing with all ages, while being welcoming and friendly, you will cover all areas of the pools and changing rooms from a usage and cleanliness point of view.
Experience and Qualifications
1. Must have a valid RLSS NPLQ qualification – essential
2. Work flexibility
3. Experience supervising a team (preferable but not essential)
4. Supervise the pool according to RLSS standards and club rules
5. Lead by example
6. Positively deal with and learn from members' feedback and concerns
7. Greeting members and visitors at all times with a smile
8. Keeping the plant rooms working and in good condition
9. Carrying out pool tests and dealing with any problems accordingly
10. Cleaning all pools and maintain high water quality
11. Maintain a high level of cleanliness around the pool
12. Liaising with line manager to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to operations
13. Reporting routine maintenance of the club’s equipment
14. Liaising with operational team to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption to operations
15. Prioritising works and keeping the operations team informed
16. Undertaking any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of Swimming
17. Arriving for your shift on time and in correct uniform (clean, smart and presentable at all times)
18. Follow all procedures set in place
19. Constantly looking for ways to improve current practices
20. Actively promote equal opportunities through promotion of policies and procedures, ensuring actions taken by self and all colleagues are consistent with the Club's requirements
21. Promote products and services available within the club
22. Ensure that works being carried out are cost-effective and to agreed standards
23. Having knowledge of departmental standards
