A brand-new opportunity for an experienced finance professional who wants to learn a new specialist skill has become available with my client in the Glasgow Area. Due to recent rapid growth, we are looking to appoint a Financial Stock Controller to join the fastest growing Oil, Gas & Fuel Supply business in Scotland.
A growing company within a larger UK group, based in Scotland, and specialising in Fuel Card solutions for their clients. Supplying direct EV charge, AdBlu, diesel & petrol fuel cards, the client have the need for an analytical finance candidate to remotely control the liquid stock levels of multiple products at multiple sites across the UK.
Previous experience within fuel product & stock control is not required as training will be provided. Previous experience with reconciliation, analysis and ledger is required however.
The Role:
The position will report directly to the Financial Controller and have the freedom to implement and drive new processes to make this newly formed role successful. You will mainly be responsible for:
* Arranging and tracking stock transfers across entire fuel card business including petrol, diesel and Adblu.
* Analysing projected remaining stock levels against fuel invoices and physically reported remaining stock and identifying trends.
* Reconciliation of stock for all fuel card type & networks, fuel card charges and invoices.
* Daily matching off variable weekly prices to invoices
To be successful you will have the following skills and qualities:
* Excellent analytical skills with the ability to note and solve problems raised during analysis.
* General & Purchase Ledger experience.
* Strong reconciliation experience.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage your own workload.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
* Previous experience implementing and driving new processes (desirable).
Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 DOE
Location: Hybrid
