We are looking for a dynamic and pro-active individual to join our team in the post of Rota Co-Ordinator & Departmental Administrator. The post-holder will provide support to the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department within the Women & Children's Division to co-ordinate rotas and provide an administrative function to the team.
As Rota Co-Ordinator, the post holder will be key in producing rotas alongside the Clinical Rota Leads, using a solution-focused approach to ensure that rotas have adequate cover at all times, especially when unforeseen circumstances occur, and escalating to the Directorate Managers and Clinical Leads where appropriate.
This role requires a flexible, approachable people person, who is self-motivated, and has a positive attitude, with excellent communication skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

You will contribute and commit to promoting a positive team-based attitude, striving for the highest standards of service and achieving excellence by providing comprehensive administrative support to the team. All work must be carried out in a timely and accurate manner, with confidentiality being maintained at all times.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or Equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or in Business Administration or equivalent experience
Knowledge and Experience
* Significant previous administrative experience in a busy office environment
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook
* The ability to communicate and liaise with colleagues at all levels
* Knowledge/experience of specific Patient Administration Systems
* Previous experience of working in a similar role
* NHS experience/medical terminology
* Willingness to undergo further training and/or development
Skills & Abilities
* Excellent communication and customer service skills - ability to communicate with Senior Managers and Clinicians effectively
* Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
* Ability to work flexibly, under pressure and to deadlines, escalating concerns where appropriate
* Ability to work both on own initiative or as part of a team, prioritising workload accordingly
* Calm and flexible organised approach to problems
