Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant - Bovey Tracey/Newton Abbot - £26,000 to £29,000
Acorn by Synergie is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Finance Assistant for their client based in Bovey Tracey, Newton Abbot.
Our client is a small, friendly company that operates in the leisure industry. You must be a hands-on person who is happy to get stuck into any other duties that would support the Office Manager. To be considered, you must have experience using Xero & Clik software and be happy to support the Office Manager with general admin. Experience with marketing is highly desirable.
Full-time, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (one hour lunch break unpaid) - £26k-£29K
Duties:
* Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers.
* Maintaining Clik invoicing from Job Sheets.
* Resolving all invoice queries with suppliers and customers.
* Managing credit control of overdue accounts and highlighting any to directors.
* Collating and recording expenses, reconciling credit card statements, petty cash, and bank accounts.
* Month-end duties including payment runs, journal entries, management accounting, and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
* Submitting VAT returns.
* Producing month-end accounts.
* Liaising with external accountants.
* Budgeting and forecasting.
* Maintaining the engineer's timesheets for external payroll processing.
* Timely payment of PAYE, VAT, and Corporation tax to HMRC.
