About the role
As a Multi Trade Operative, you will be an essential part of the team, working on various tasks including carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating. You will operate across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship is delivered efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, tiling, plastering, and decorating tasks.
* Complete work to a high standard, adhering to all safety guidelines.
* Operate independently and manage time effectively across multiple job sites.
* Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently.
* Provide excellent customer service to clients and colleagues.
* Use the company-provided van to travel to and from sites and work.
What will you be doing?
* Completing various repairs and maintenance tasks within homes, such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, tiling, bricklaying, and decorating, to a high standard and in line with Council standards and specifications, while delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
* Using an electronic personal digital assistant device to receive and record work.
* Maintaining appropriate van stock and ensuring orders are placed with the in-house stores team, complying with specifications.
* Using initiative to complete tasks where appropriate.
About you
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Multi Trade Operative with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently. You will have:
* Proven experience in multiple trade disciplines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* A polite and approachable manner.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
* A valid UK driving license.
* A 'can-do' attitude and self-motivation.
* Qualified to NVQ level 2 in at least one core trade or at least 2 years' on-site experience.
* Experience working in residential maintenance and repairs would be advantageous.
