Job summary An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to apply for a position as band 2 Clerk/Receptionist within the Informatics & Patient Administration Directorate (Corporate). You will be based in our Emergency Department. There are several shifts available including days and evenings on a 4 on 4 off based non-negotiable rota; this includes working weekends and Bank Holidays including Christmas. There are various vacancies 0900-1700 26.25 hours per week 1600-2200 21.00 hours per week 2130-0230 - 17.5 hours per week Please be aware that due to service need these hours are non-negotiable. The role is situated in the Emergency Department reception at QEHB and will consist of a strong emphasis on data quality, customer care, taking a lead role in maintaining accurate data on the Trust electronic patient administration system PAS Oceano at all times. To be the first point of contact in welcoming and registering patients attending the Emergency Department. Provide full admin and clerical support to the departments' multidisciplinary team. Effective teamwork and a keen focus on the Trusts Vision & Values are essential. Criteria: The successful applicant will have a good level of education and be able to demonstrate excellent motivational, organizational and communication skills, while having the ability to stay focused in a busy environment. You will also have good key board skills with a high level of accuracy and the ability to work individually and as part of a team. Main duties of the job Act as the main communication/registration point for all the patients and visitors presenting at QEHB Emergency Department and to undertake all the administrative and clerical duties to support the functioning of the departments. Ensure that all administration systems within these areas are maintained to a high standard.
