We are looking for a doctor who is passionate and committed to the development of Child and Adolescent psychiatry and who is able to work alongside CCETT's multi-disciplinary team, as well as the Mental Health Liaison Service (MHLS). The role is full-time at 10PAs per week, we are however, interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in a flexible working pattern. Due to the nature of the role there is limited scope for remote working, however this may be discussed with the Clinical Director for Specialist Services. As the role will entail travel across the county, it is integral that the postholder is able to travel via car, due to limited public transport. Main duties of the job To be involved in the assessment and management of urgent and routine referrals. To work alongside medical peers and other MDT colleagues within Urgent care to support young people in a mental health crisis accessing crisis and mental health liaison in the south of the county. To provide clinical leadership to other members of the MDT. To work as part of an MDT to formulate and agree a management plan including risk review risk management, care plan, diagnosis and prescribing if needed, seeking supervision and senior support as needed. To work with young people and their families to reduce symptoms of acute mental illness and the risk of admission to hospital. To be responsive to the team and urgent cases needing medical oversight. To be mindful of and actively involved in current safeguarding practices. To work clinically with children, young people and their families/carers and other allied professionals. To liaise closely with other relevant agencies. To keep accurate records as required. To contribute to service meetings for the services and contribute to the development of service strategy. To contribute to in-house training programmes within the services. To contribute to the development of knowledge and skills within the Service.
