The Role
As the Accounts Director / Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership team, shaping the future of the practice. You will work closely with the Partners to manage a portfolio of clients, develop new business opportunities, and lead a team of dedicated professionals. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Client Management: Overseeing a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and building long-term relationships.
* Team Leadership: Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of accountants, ensuring high performance and staff engagement.
* Strategic Development: Supporting the Partners in shaping the strategic direction of the practice, driving growth, and identifying opportunities for innovation.
* Business Development: Playing an active role in winning new business, representing the firm at networking events, and identifying potential opportunities to expand the client base.
* Technical Expertise: Providing high-level technical advice to clients, including complex accounting, tax planning, and business advisory services.
* Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal quality standards across the firm.

Requirements
The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Significant experience in an accountancy practice environment, with proven success in client management and team leadership.
* Strong technical knowledge across accounting, tax, and business advisory disciplines.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and influence others.
* A commercial mindset, with the drive to contribute to the growth and success of the practice.
* A passion for providing exceptional client service and a genuine interest in helping businesses succeed.
