We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking Salaried GP to work 6 sessions working in collaboration with our existing friendly team to deliver Primary Care Medical Services to our rural patient population. This is a permanent position. Our practice is a well-respected and established dispensing practice with just over 4000 patients with a growing list size. We are a training practice for both GP registrars and medical students and regularly receive excellent feedback from these posts. Main duties of the job Main duties of the job The post-holder will provide high quality general medical services and work as part of the practice team to manage a range of health needs in a purpose built and modern primary care setting. Your working day not only meets but exceeds the BMA guidance on safe daily contacts, with an established blend of pre-booked and same day 15 minute face to face and telephone appointments. The experienced multi-disciplinary team of clinicians collectively manage same day patient demand, removing the requirement for duty doctor sessions. About us About us We are a stable, supportive and very friendly training practice that has retained its family and patient-first ethos. We work from purpose-built premises in the village of Ampleforth. We have a small branch surgery in the pretty village of Hovingham, 7 miles from the main surgery in Ampleforth. We care for a registered population size of 4,000 served by 4 GPs, GP Registrars, nurse practitioner and a paramedic, a team of practice nurses and HCAs, experienced administrative and patient support staff. We have a purpose-built dispensary and dispense to 95% of our patients. Our practice is an active and engaged member of North Riding PCN, with a PCN team including MSK practitioners, first contact mental health workers, pharmacists, care coordinators and social prescribers.
