- The Premises Manager will take responsibility for the management and maintenance of the school site and vehicles.
- You will be expected to work independently across the school site, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment.
- The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities and tasks, both on a daily and weekly basis.
- Conducting maintenance tasks and compliance checks to ensure the school site remains safe, clean, and operational.
- Supervising contractors and managing external works, including fire safety, water systems (legionella), asbestos, and gas/electrical compliance.
- Overseeing and managing the school's cleaning team.
- Handling administrative tasks, both in paperwork and electronically.
- Opening and closing the site each day and ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Ensuring all works meet high standards, maintaining Health & Safety protocols, and reading/understanding risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Maintaining school vehicles, ensuring they are clean and operational.
- Providing excellent customer service to colleagues, staff, and students.
- Being prepared to work flexible hours when required for urgent tasks.
- Proven handyman/maintenance skills, with experience in both internal and external works.
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices and safe working procedures.
- Good IT skills, including basic knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift and move items as required by the role.
- A professional and conscientious attitude, with a focus on achieving high standards.
- Flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors, and to manage the supervision of contractors.
