Job overview
We are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Psychologist to join our Pain Management team in North East Essex, part time 22.5 hours per week. You will be responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload and providing clinical leadership within the service. As the Clinical Lead you will guide the direction of patient care, oversee service delivery and ensure the highest standards of practice, all while leading a committed multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient-centered care.
You will need significant experience in pain management services with strong clinical leadership experience and ability to focus on guiding and supporting the team to deliver exceptional patient care. Using your excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills you will foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
You will be required to travel to clinic venues in Colchester and Clacton therefore will require a valid driver’s license and access to a car.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* Professional qualification in Clinical Psychology at doctoral level (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* Registration as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
Experience
Essential criteria
* Considerable experience of working as a clinical psychologist, in relevant settings and services.
* Proven significant experience working in a senior clinical psychologist role.
* Experience of being the lead clinician in a service area.
* Experience of supervising the work of junior staff members.
* Experience in assessment and therapeutic work with adults with mental health/psychological needs.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
* Skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and management.
* Highly competent application of theory and clinical skills in one or more distinct modes of psychological therapy.
