We are currently looking to recruit a Site Manager to join our Projects business stream on a full-time permanent basis covering various sites throughout the Southern Water region of England. The overall purpose of this role is to supervise and lead site-based staff throughout their day-to-day work to achieve completion of projects as set out by the customer. This role is to drive the projects set out by the client and ensure key performance targets and SLAs are maintained.
Main Duties
* Providing construction resourcing planning and strategy at bid stage
* Contributing to the development of construction phase H&S plans on winning bids
* Liaising with Project Managers to manage all EICA and Mechanical installation, including the development of programmes, risk assessments and method statements, and lifting plans
* Liaising with Client Operations Teams throughout the construction phase
* Receiving, managing, and issuing drawings for construction at site level, ensuring construction meets design requirements
* Working with Team Leaders to ensure safe, efficient, compliant site delivery, with maximised resource utilisation
* Managing internal direct reports for all construction teams and sub-contractor on site activities
* Planning and provision of all documentation, resources, tools, materials, consumables, H&S equipment, and transport to ensure safe and efficient construction
* Managing Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) as required, including pressure testing of pipework and civil construction, ensuring all applicable test equipment is available for SAT delivery and certification is available for review
* Completing site audits & inspections as required, ensuring the highest standard of quality is maintained
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 2-3 years of previous experience within a similar level role, ideally within an engineering environment. An excellent working knowledge of the water industry would be beneficial. Awareness of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts, as well as an electrical or mechanical bias, are also essential for the role. Travel to various sites throughout the country is required, so a valid UK driving licence is essential.
