Opportunities for experienced Platers/Fabricators. Due to the nature of the work, applicants will be required to complete BPSS screening at the company’s cost.
The company will provide a comprehensive training programme during the course of employment to ensure we deliver to the high standard required by our customer. Other training such as confined space will be required for deployment on some work scopes. These roles offer long-term opportunities with potential for progression.
Main Responsibilities
* Measuring and marking out plates and sections for cutting;
* Operating plate cutting machine where required and trained to do so;
* Assembling steelwork in line with engineering drawings;
* Maintaining material traceability during assembly;
* Aligning and checking tolerances;
* Tack welding fabricated parts together;
* Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates;
* Working in confined space scopes where required;
* Responsible for cable management and general good housekeeping in working area;
Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures.
Pay Rate and Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week
* £20.57 per hour day shift
* £22.63 per hour Backshift
* £30.86 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday- Sat 1st 4 hours)
* £41.14 per hour Overtime 2 (Sat post 1st 4 hrs & Sunday)
* 23 days holiday plus statutory (rising to 25 plus statutory with service)
* Flexibility to ‘sell back’ holidays at year end or carry over
