Based in the North West, Niche Drinks is a manufacturer of premium alcoholic beverages and is now seeking to appoint the following: Product Development Co-Ordinator Job Reference Number PDC-139 Reporting to the NPD Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team, responsible for the execution of product (including packaging and specifications) and process development from concept to successful launch. Applicants must have, as a minimum: degree level education in Food Science or comparable/related discipline; AND at least 6 months experience working in a commercial product development/ specifications environment OR at least 2 years experience working in a commercial product development/ specifications environment with demonstrable experience in both product development and technical assurance. Successful candidates must have ability to work on their own initiative; they will be good team workers and have strong attention to detail. A strong understanding of the NPD process from concept to fruition is desirable, as is previous experience of working with the major multiples and discounters in the food/drinks sector. The successful candidate must be flexible with regard to overtime working including early mornings, weekends and shifts. They must have a full driving licence enabling them to drive in the UK/ROI and must be able to travel to attend meetings with suppliers and customers. Applicants must be able to use Microsoft Office.
