Woking is Petrofac’s Centre of Excellence for Consultancy and early-stage engineering and where much of our work on energy transition projects is undertaken. The role of Proposals Engineer can be based in any of our UK office locations: Woking, Aberdeen, Grimsby, Great Yarmouth. For candidates that are not close to any of these office locations, remote home working can be considered.

JOB TITLE: PROPOSALS ENGINEER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for overall delivery of individual tenders – on schedule, within budget and to the highest quality.
2. Review all EOIs / ITTs and prepare applicable paperwork.
3. Support Business Capture/Business Development activities.
4. Responsible for supporting and enforcing proposals process.
5. Work in and maintain BD/proposals digital management system.
6. Participate in Strategy and Bid / No Bid discussions.
7. Development of and responsibility for bid schedule.
8. Allocate responsibilities in conjunction with Bid Team Leader.
9. Organise tender meetings and review meetings, ensuring presentations and applicable paperwork have been completed.
10. Ensure all internal and third-party tender input is received by the required dates.
11. Advise and recommend solutions for tender issues.
12. Liaise with all other Asset Solutions discipline personnel to ensure accurate input to tenders.
13. Review, edit and write material for the tender document and take responsibility for production to schedule.
14. Check and validate tender answers and edit where agreed.
15. Act as customer focal point for tender correspondence e.g clarifications, meeting requests.
16. Ensure all proposals databases, files and reports are updated on a regular basis.
17. Manage the production of the final tender through engagement with internal and external Marketing stakeholders.
18. Ensure timely delivery of final tender submission.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. Ideally have previous experience working within a proposal’s environment.
2. Ideally degree qualified in relevant subjects (English, Law, Business etc.) although this is not essential.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, organisational skills and writing/scripting skills are also a requirement for this position.
4. The ability to work to tight deadlines.
5. Ability to adapt and work in fast paced working environment.
6. Innovative mind set.
7. The candidate must have general knowledge of the Energy industry and commercial/technical knowledge of new energy/oil and gas contracts is preferred.
