Job Title: Defense Vehicle Technician
Location: York, PA 17404
Role Summary:
The Defense Vehicle Technician is responsible for performing failure analysis, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of tactical vehicle assemblies and subassemblies. This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunctions using test equipment and technical publications.
* Repair fuel systems, electrical systems, diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and more.
* Conduct assembly tests to verify functionality and compliance with work instructions.
* Operate shop equipment (compressors, presses, grinders, heavy hand tools).
* Safely lift and install heavy parts using basic tools and PPE.
* Record rework and testing results using computer software.
* Provide support at partner facilities for rework activities as needed.
* Retrofit equipment on-site and in the field.
Qualifications:
* At least 3 years of recent experience in repairing and maintaining automotive, heavy-duty trucks, tractors, or tactical vehicles.
* Technical certificate/degree in Diesel Mechanics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
* Strong mechanical and electrical systems aptitude with troubleshooting experience.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly cycles.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Willing to work various shifts and adapt to work hour changes.
* Must be a U.S. citizen.
