An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Clerical Officer/Receptionist within our health centres. As a member of the administration team you will ensure a high quality reception and efficient administration service is provided to staff and patients. This post is based at Park House but the post holder will also be required to work at other bases in the immediate area and other sites across Nottinghamshire.
Main duties of the job
* You will be required to have good written and verbal communication skills as the role entails liaising with staff, clients and other agencies at all levels.
* You may be required to work at other health centres across the county so ability to travel a necessity.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* To participate in the provision of a welcoming and confidential reception service to clients, staff and visitors.
* To participate in the provision of an efficient clerical support service to clinical and managerial staff.
* To provide administrative support and undertake clerical duties requested by managerial and clinical staff within the health centre.
* To provide reception duties at the health centre for staff and patients.
* To deal with requests, incoming calls and enquiries and forward onto the relevant personnel as appropriate.
* To book and notify patients of appointments.
* To type reports and correspondence.
* To implement and maintain adequate filing and follow up systems.
* To undertake general clerical duties including the collection, distribution and posting of mail.
* To ensure that manual and electronic records are maintained and up to date, including filing of documents in health records and facilitating the smooth and timely transfer of records in and out of the area as required.
* Provide members of the public with supplies available from the health centre.
* To travel to and work from other bases within the organisation to carry out administration support.
* To provide any other duties as delegated by the Centre Manager.

Person specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
* Minimum OCR/RSA II typing/word processing or equivalent
* ECDL or equivalent
Experience
* Experience of working in an office environment
* SystmOne or RiO
Skills
* Excellent IT skills and knowledge of IT systems
* Excellent telephone manner
* Ability to work as part of a team
Knowledge
* Awareness of confidentiality requirements (GDPR)
