Bookkeeper Role Overview
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join a reputable company based near Knowsley. You will be working in a small accounts team, reporting into the company director.
Bookkeeper Responsibilities:
* Complete monthly bank reconciliations on a timely basis ensuring all transactions are allocated and understood.
* Monthly and Weekly Reporting to management
* Prepare bank payment runs and reconciliations.
* Maintain ledgers in Sage for management and statutory accounting requirements.
* Credit Control - Chasing debtors and ensuring balances are collected on a timely basis or appropriately escalated.
* Preparation of the VAT returns.
* Pay creditors on a timely basis ensuring cashflow of the business is managed on a daily basis.
* Process payroll on a timely basis.
* Work with the business to resolve credit control issues, to ensure that our debtor days are as low as possible, focusing on working capital.
* Supporting Directors with month end reporting.
* Keeping Sage up to date.
Bookkeeper Experience Required
1. At least 3 years’ experience in a similar accounts/bookkeeping role
2. Experience using Sage 50
