Intelligence Analyst Contract Type Permanent Working Pattern Full time - flexible working may be considered Working Hours 35 hours per week Salary £43,427 Location Options Hybrid - home based and Birmingham Function Type Investigations We are seeking a dedicated Intelligence Analyst to join our Intelligence Unit. The role will be a hybrid model based in our Birmingham office at The Cube. The Intelligence Unit The Intelligence Unit provides a vital function to our organisation. The primary purpose of the Unit is to gather, record, assess, develop and disseminate intelligence received from a wide variety of sources in connection with the activities of the profession. The Unit retains all intelligence it receives and assesses the credibility, usefulness and importance, before disseminating it internally or externally to partner agencies. The team operates in accordance with the National Intelligence Model (NIM). The Role Intelligence Analyst form part of the wider team, along with Intelligence Researchers, Intelligence Officers and a Senior Legal & Technical Advisor and will report to our Senior Analyst. Your primary responsibility will be to provide analytical support for our intelligence team, proactively identifying key risks and emerging trends. You will collaborate closely with Intelligence Researchers and Officers, utilising your analytical skills to create intelligence packages for further investigation. You will ensure the integrity and proper handling of sensitive information, maintaining accurate data in line with NIM and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your role involves assessing stakeholder requirements, maintaining accurate data and records, and providing guidance on procedural issues. Additionally, you will assist with investigations and facilitate coordination between various SRA departments. What we are looking for A relevant degree or equivalent qualification and/or experience within an intelligence analyst role. Ability to produce reasoned, defensible analysis to determine regulatory policy and action. Experience using i2 Analyst's Notebook. Extensive knowledge of Excel. A good understanding of intelligence work, including the National Intelligence Model (NIM), and its role in supporting the SRA. Strong report writing skills with the ability to summarise complex issues accurately and succinctly. Organised and able to prioritise and risk assess cases effectively. The successful applicant must either already have, or be prepared to go through, Security Check (SC) vetting.
