Job summary An exciting opportunity is open for an experienced, motivated and independently minded leader who is able to act on their own initiative within agreed guidelines, adopting values led "can do" leadership style within a climate of change to implement and manage the plans and performance of the Directorate under the direction of the Directorate Manager. In addition to the day to day management of the Directorate, the post holder will competently deputise for the Directorate Manager, ensuring the service is seamlessly progressed and not compromised. This post is a fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover a secondment. Main duties of the job Reporting to the Directorate Manager, the post holder is expected to contribute with the senior management team to ensure operational plans and performance are closely managed, by proactively leading and providing solutions to resolve difficult operational issues, in accordance with agreed University Health Board objectives, targets, quality standards and resource constraints, promptly escalating issues which are unable to be resolved.
