Job summary
ABL Health have been commissioned by Dudleymetropolitan borough council to deliver a high-quality Stop Smoking Serviceacross the Dudley borough.
Main duties of the job
You will workflexibly across the borough of Dudley, working and engaging with communities(including traveller communities, refugees and asylum seekers) and community partners. To increase referrals into the service bypartnership engagement and working within the heart of the communities toengage with difficult-to-reach groups. Support people to identify barriers toaccessing services (language, mental or physical health, digital exclusion etc)and work with the wider team to break down barriers and improve servicedevelopment and delivery easing the transition from potential client toactive client.
You will beexpected to engage at neighbourhood, community and place level to increasereferrals into the service and build long- lastingrelationships with local partners. This will involve being responsible fordeveloping and maintaining strong,positive relationships with a wide range of communities and organisations and supportthe development of the services communication strategy.
You will be a motivated, passionate, organised and proactivecommunicator, with experience of working in acommunity setting. ABL take a strengths focused asset-based approach tocommunity delivery, looking to innovateand partner, not replicate existing delivery. The role will require dynamicworking which embraces the vision and values we wish to establish for the service supporting people to achieve healthy lives.

Duties and Responsibilities
This postwill work under the line management of the Head of Service for Stop Smoking. The role will be varied,challenging and rewardingas you support and develop the servicethrough implementation, deliveryand ongoing innovation and service development.
Key responsibilities will be:
Engaging with local people, services and partners to ensure localawareness and explore partnership opportunities and co-productionactivities.
Working closely with operational colleagues to support andincrease referrals and develop partnershipswith all potential referrers in your locality.
Attending local health forums/groups/meetings where required torepresent ABL, promote the serviceand maintain local partnerships
Update the partnership database with all contacts includingrequired follow up contact
Skills and Competencies Required
Oversee and measure the impacts of Dudleys marketing andcommunications strategy
Embed referral pathways to ensure efficiency and quality referralsinto the service
Be experienced in community engagement and partnership working in a community healthenvironment.
Experience of building and maintaining community partnerships
Positive and proactive with the ability to motivate,engage and support partnership delivery
Build strongrelationships; Foster trust and co-operationamong colleagues, stakeholders, community leaders, commissioners and sub-contractors
