Job summary We are looking for enthusiastic bank sonographers to join our small, forward thinking friendly Ultrasound department here at the James Paget University Hospital. Applicants must possess a Postgraduate qualification (or equivalent) in Ultrasound and must be registered with the HCPC or other relevant professional body. Recent NHS experience is required and all applicants must meet the requirements of the role. The role is open to UK residents only. Sessions undertaking general medical, gynaecological, musculoskeletal and obstetric (week-days only) examinations are available depending on expertise and experience. There is an active training programme in place within the department that all staff are involved in. The Ultrasound Department has BMUS endorsement for its preceptorship programme, one of a few departments across the country. We have a good support network from our Radiology colleagues and provide CPD activities within the department. The Trust opened its Community Diagnostic Centre in 2024 which offers a 7 day, 8am-8pm service to the local population. As there is a requirement to provide ultrasound sessions in the CDC, evening and weekend sessions are available should you wish.
