The key responsibilities of the role will be: To provide an appropriately qualified and accredited psychology/psychotherapy service to service users and carers aged 17+. To work autonomously, with appropriate supervision, making independent decisions and using support appropriately. To provide highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and therapy. To offer advice and consultation on service users psychological care to clinical colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service, following trust policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the service area. To provide a key role in psychological aspects of service development in service areas of primary responsibility. The post holder will be part of a therapy team of 17 staff and will be the lead for the therapy provision in their locality. The role involves direct assessment and therapy, as well as joint working, training and supervision for the wider MDT. There are also opportunities to facilitate a range of therapeutic groups.
