Your key responsibilities
Rocco Forte Hotels are a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.
As Event Planner, you will play a vital part in organising our private dining, banqueting and events offering, as well as nurturing our existing prestige clients. You will be an exceptional communicator, be able to work in an organised manner and a passion for delivering world class Scottish hospitality. Your positivity, ability to learn and strong work ethic will enable you to thrive in a high-pressure event sales environment.
Working within the Meeting & Events Sales department, the Event Planner will collate, co-ordinate and distribute Meeting & Event information between clients and hotel departments, whilst ensuring the highest standards of service are achieved. Your duties will entail maintaining a good working relationship with existing clients and ensuring that final details are confirmed and that contracts are sent in an orderly fashion. You are also responsible for ensuring all enquiries are followed up and converting tentative reservations into confirmed bookings.
You must have a comprehensive knowledge of the requirements within Meeting and Events including facilities, set-ups and services available. You must be able to meet deadlines, have good computer skills and an excellent telephone manner including the ability to provide seamless service delivery with a nothing is too much trouble, attitude. Excellent organisation skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
Your success in the role will be defined by your ability to manage your time and deliver efficient and organised events for new clients whilst maintaining an outstanding relationship with our existing premium clients.
