SDET - Test Automation Consultants - Hybrid / London

We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer (SDET) who will be responsible for both functional and automation testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript and should be capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust test automation suits & frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Automation Strategy & Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Ensure automation scripts are optimized for performance, reusability, and maintainability.
2. Functional & Automation Testing:
- Conduct both manual and automated testing to validate business-critical functionalities.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web applications.
3. End-to-End Testing & CI/CD Integration:
- Automate and execute end-to-end, UI, API, and regression testing.
- Integrate automation tests into CI/CD pipelines for seamless execution.
4. Cross-Browser & Cross-Platform Testing:
- Ensure applications work seamlessly across different browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Leverage Playwright capabilities for headless and headed browser testing.
5. Test Data & Reporting:
- Implement robust test data management strategies using JSON, Excel, or databases.
- Generate detailed test reports using Allure, Extent Reports, or Playwright’s built-in reporting tools.
6. Collaboration & Agile Practices:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define testing strategies and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Retrospectives) and drive quality initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Good experience in test automation and functional testing.
- Strong proficiency in Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience in testing single-page applications (SPAs) and dynamic web apps.
- Hands-on experience with Mocha, Jest, or any other test framework.
- Expertise in Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or other CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of API testing (Postman, REST Assured, Playwright API).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks like Cucumber (Optional but Preferred).
