Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. The role will include facilitating and directly taking part in problem solving, testing products, and maintaining quality records. The QA technician will work closely with a cross functional to continuously improve methods, process, and products. This includes supporting and ensuring a culture of compliance to procedures and quality requirements is promoted and maintained. About The Role Key Duties and Responsibilities Monitor production processing via Daily QA audits; Conduct necessary quality inspections using appropriate equipment and techniques; Assist with problem solving- root cause analysis corrective actions; Promote and support continuous improvement in key areas of Brett Martin; Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results; Ensure Brett Martin products are in compliance with required specifications; Ensure production personnel are following proper procedure for ongoing production checks; Assist in the training and validation of personnel in Brett Martin QMS processes; Development and maintenance of quality procedures and work instructions; Audit and Maintenance of compliance to required quality management systems standards; Other duties as required by Quality Management. Required Criteria 3 years relevant quality technician / quality engineering experience Experience of inspection and testing of products Experience of internal quality auditing (Process, System audits) Experience of continuous improvement tools such as: 8D, 5 Why, Root cause Analysis, FMEA, Process Mapping, Process control plans A working knowledge of Microsoft office software, including Excel A proven track record of delivering process / quality improvement Excellent written and oral communication & organisational skills Have a systematic approach, with attention to detail An ability to work with limited supervision A proven track record of engaging the workforce in quality improvement initiatives Ability to work as part of a team Reliable & conscientious Desired Criteria Have a third level qualification, such as HND, HNC, BTEC or equivalent in a Technical based subject Have experience in customer complaint investigation and corrective action Have experience of leading quality improvement teams, such as incident investigation teams and 8D teams Have experience in training delivery and training validation Have had internal auditor training Have experience of statistical analysis including SPC, Six Sigma Skills Needed About The Company At Brett Martin, youll join a workplace where our teams have created a positive working and learning environment.
