The Role
The post holder will assist in providing support and delivery of new and existing courses in the simulation and clinical skills environment.
1. Contribute to the development of the clinical skills programme.
2. The aim is to prepare and set-up the daily technical elements of all courses using a range of equipment and supplies including part task trainers, computer based simulators, audiovisual equipment and appropriate medical and surgical equipment making effective utilisation of resources under the direction of the Clinical Skills Consultant and Clinical Skills Specialists.
3. The post holder will operate as part of the wider NHSL Medical Education Clinical Skills team.
4. The post holder is required to develop an extensive working knowledge of and to optimally operate:
5. High fidelity simulation trainers including Sim 3G and SimBaby and a wide range of part task trainers.
6. SMOTS multi-room camera technology and recording.
7. SMART board systems and other Multimedia system and Audio/Visual equipment.
8. Part task trainers, computer based simulators and appropriate medical and surgical equipment.
9. Personal computers and/or laptops.
What we'll need you to bring
Specific experience and educational requirements include:
* Educated to HNC in an IM&T subject or SVQ III in an IM&T subject plus 2 years experience, or equivalent experience.
* Previous and ongoing experience in a health care environment.
* Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent team working skills with ability to work on own initiative.
* Computer literate across a range of packages.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* An interest in simulation (essential).
* Car driver - licence (essential).

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in the Medical Education Clinical Skills Team within Kirklands - NHSL Headquarters. The working pattern for this role is Monday - Friday.
