Salary: Circa £51,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Role Overview:
The MBDA Operational Analysis (OA) team requires an experienced problem solver to contribute to a range of analytical studies within the Future Combat Air domain. The role includes scoping, leading and contributing to a wide range of analytical studies and experimentation exercises. Emphasis is on how future MBDA products will be used and how they can contribute to operational capability for the customer in a cost-effective way. The successful candidate is likely to be an experienced problem solver with a broad understanding of the military operational environment.
You will have the freedom to network, influence, and thrive in an agile environment, leading and contributing to a variety of qualitative and quantitative studies. This will be in support of decision making for the weapons and effects needed for a future Combat Air System to achieve mission success in the face of rapidly evolving threats.
What we're looking for:
* Necessary:
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
* Strong awareness of, or professional background in, aspects of Operational Analysis, Operational Research, statistical analysis, or systems thinking; able to grasp the big picture whilst retaining focus on detail, ability to structure information, draw conclusions and make recommendations.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, indicative of the need to prepare reports and presentations, and interact with a wide variety of stakeholders to forge working relationships.
* Able to define and execute a ‘Concept of Analysis' (approach / plan) that meets customer needs.
* Ability to manage, scope, and lead tasks involving contributions from other team members or supporting teams.
* Basic understanding of physical principles associated with weapon systems and missiles, and systems engineering processes.
* Broad understanding of the military operational environment.
* Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, that may be dispersed and international in nature.
* Able to see and understand the ‘big picture' and think about many things at once, as well as keeping track of the detail.
* Thrives in a working environment where there can be frequent change, uncertainty and ambiguity.
* Desirable:
* It would be beneficial to have knowledge of the Military Air Domain including CONOPS, Tactics, Threats, and current UK Combat Air capabilities.
* Knowledge of current Air-to-Air missile systems and associated technologies would also be beneficial.
