Job Title: Junior Buyer
Location: Blackwood
Salary: £25,000-£26,000 per annum
Hours: Full time. Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours a week, start time can be slightly flexible.
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting a Junior Buyer to work for a company in Blackwood on a temp to perm basis.
Main job roles:
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Junior Buyer will play an integral part of the team supporting key functions within the department including:
* Procurement
* Vendor management
* MRP scheduling
* Quality Assurance
* New Product Development
* Driving improvement initiatives while maintaining excellent customer service levels
* Some administrative duties
* Using strong commercial and analytical skills to create value for the business through effective negotiation of price, contract, and service level agreements

* Demonstrates a proactive and flexible approach to the buying role and has strong team values
* Has a track record of achieving cost down benefits to the business
* Excellent internal and external customer relationship and interpersonal skills
* Effective written and oral communication skills
* Team player with a strong work ethic and ability to adapt to and drive change
* Highly numerate and analytical, able to analyse and interpret data
* Commercially minded with attention to detail
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Self-motivated and behaves in a professional manner at all times
* Able to deliver at a consistently high level in a demanding, commercial environment
Education and Experience:
* Educated to degree level - CIPS preferably (or working towards)
* Supply chain or procurement experience
* IT literate with strong spreadsheet knowledge
* Experience working with an MRP/ERP and SAP system
* Experience working in a legislative environment and familiar with procedures/systems
