We are looking for a talented Software Test Engineer to join our R&D team at SPT Labtech based in Melbourn, Cambridgeshire. As a Software Test Engineer, you will participate in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle. This includes attending daily scrum meetings, Understanding Requirements, Plan, Design test cases, and Functional testing of Software & Hardware. You will be exposed to the existing automation framework setup developed using Ranorex studio and .NET. The ideal candidate is a team player with experience in manual testing of either Windows or Web or Mobile software applications, and an eagerness to challenge our product. Want to be part of a team that’s making a difference to human health? Your key responsibilities will include: Attending daily scrum meetings. Maintain tasks in JIRA. Understanding requirements and use cases of the application. Plan and design test cases using Jira-Xray. Preparation of test data. Test execution - Functional on both Software/Hardware. Report execution status and Defects. Retest defects and Re-execute relevant tests. Work closely within an integrated team - Developers, Testers, Field Engineers, Business Analysts, Project Managers. Self-organise and fit into an agile software development process. Your skills & attributes: Ideally2 years of experience in Functional testing – Windows or Web or Mobile software applications. Have experience in STLC and Defects life cycle. Experience using repository/test management software like GIT, Jira, RedMine, X-Ray tools or equivalent. Can write, follow and if necessary, alter pre-made test procedures. Have a demonstrable understanding of modern software development methodologies. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Have ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board), BCS (British Computer Society) or equivalent experience. Desirable skills: Software automation experience using reputed tools like – Selenium/ Appium or equivalent. Experience in testing embedded systems and firmware. Life Sciences domain knowledge. Scripting language like Python, JavaScript, Perl or equivalent. Basic understanding of Cloud platforms – GCP, AWS or Azure.
